About Jenelle Power
I started my career with the Government of Canada in 2007 through the Federal Student Work Experience Program. I have spent my career within the safety and security portfolio within the federal public service, including positions with the Correctional Service of Canada, Public Safety Canada, and Transport Canada prior to joining Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada. I have had the opportunity to work in a variety of areas, including research, policy, operations, and spent a significant period as a senior advisor. I was appointed to an executive position in 2019, and am currently the Director responsible for irregular migration operations, with offices in Ottawa, Montreal, Winnipeg, and Vancouver.
