About Mark Masters
Mark Masters works as TSN’s dedicated hockey reporter throughout the NHL season, providing multiplatform reports on SportsCentre, That’s Hockey, and TSN.ca. Starting in the summer of 2014 he has been on the tennis beat reporting from Paris at the French Open, London at Wimbledon and New York at the US Open.
Prior to joining TSN, Masters worked at the National Post as a sports reporter where he primarily covered the CFL. Masters was also a senior broadcast associate with Canada’s Olympic Broadcast Media Consortium for the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Winter Games.
The Toronto native graduated from Carleton University in 2008 with a bachelor of journalism. While at the university he did play-by-play for Ravens games on Rogers TV as well as online for the Streaming Sports Network. He also served as sports editor and editor-in-chief of the Charlatan, the university’s student newspaper.
Although he came close, Masters was never able to claim a title in any of the many recreational sports leagues he joined up with through the athletics department.
