What makes you a good mentor?
I am passionate about mentoring because I am eager to get to know a current Carleton student and the goals they have, provide advice, share my experience, and assist in navigating job applications and interviews during the pandemic. I really enjoyed my experience at Carleton, taking a wide range of courses and even traveling to Burkina Faso, Africa to study African Film on location. Carleton provided me with a lot of opportunities, both academic and professional and I’m looking forward to sharing that experience. I also benefitted from the co-op program and was able to gain work experienced at a range of government departments as a co-op student (including Global Affairs, Crown-Indigenous Relations and Northern Affairs Canada, and Natural Resources Canada). Looking forward to the year ahead!
