Request Funding from Carleton University Alumni Association

• Carleton University alumni (individuals and members of CUAA Alumni Chapters) 
• Registered Carleton University students 
• Carleton University faculty and staff
• Other Carleton University community members
  

To qualify for funding, the event, project or activity must:  

• Be cultural, athletic or educational in nature 
• Have an official affiliation with Carleton University 
• Be organized by or for the benefit of Carleton University alumni and/or students 
• Be an upcoming or future event, project or activity (funding is not provided retroactively) 
• Gain approval from Advancement for your registration or sign‑up mechanism to ensure compliance with data collection requirements.
• Collect and share registration and attendance information with the Department of University Advancement.

Funding Allocation

• Funds must be used for the specific event or activity outlined in the application. 
• If the event or activity is cancelled, or if funds remain unused after six months, the balance must be returned to the Carleton University Alumni Association. 

Ineligible Requests

The CUAA does not provide funding for:  

• Political or religious events 
• Activities or projects that benefit a single individual 
• The purchase of tangible goods (e.g., equipment, uniforms or other branded merchandise) 
• Ongoing operating expenses, debt reduction or general travel expenses 

Recipients are expected to acknowledge CUAA’s financial support. Recognition may include:  

• Displaying the CUAA name and logo in print or digital materials   
• Publicly acknowledging CUAA during the event or activity
