Volunteer

We love when our alumni volunteer! Explore your philanthropic side and give back by sharing your time, expertise, leadership and advocacy. Volunteers play a vital role in advancing the interests of the Carleton University Alumni Association (CUAA) and helping alumni stay in touch with each other and the university. Browse opportunities to engage fellow alumni, support current students and stay connected to your faculty and the campus community.

Become a CUAA Executive Council Member

We’re always looking for engaged alumni volunteers to sit on the Carleton University Alumni Association (CUAA) Executive Council.

Join an Alumni Chapter

As an Alumni Chapter volunteer, you bring Carleton graduates together by organizing reunions, building community and act as an ambassador in support of the university’s recruitment efforts.

Share Your Story

We love to celebrate your accomplishments and invite you to share news, stories and updates about yourself and fellow Carleton grads making an impact in their career and community.

Be a Convocation Ambassador

Volunteer at your faculty’s upcoming Convocation ceremony in June and share in the excitement and joy that comes with crossing the stage and becoming a new Carleton grad!

Be a Beadle Volunteer

Volunteer as a Beadle this June and help make Convocation a success. Beadles manage the graduate procession, guide seating, direct graduates to the stage for diplomas, and support an orderly exit.

Assist with International Recruitment

Volunteer to assist Carleton staff at an international student recruitment fair, visit your former high school, provide a testimonial or participate in an online chat or event.

Speak at Campus Events

Share your expertise, career journey and words of wisdom with the next generation of Ravens as a featured speaker at a conference, panel, lecture or faculty event.

Present at Virtual Ventures

Alumni from STEM programs can volunteer as a mentor with Carleton’s Virtual Ventures program. Inspire the next generation of innovators by delivering a presentation, talk or workshop to summer camp participants.

Other Volunteer Opportunities

Interested in exploring additional opportunities to share your time and expertise with the university? Let’s discuss other ways to volunteer.

Participate in Oral History Interviews

Carleton’s Corporate Records and Archives Office is inviting alumni to participate in oral history interviews and share an account of your time and experiences at the school.
