In 2003, at the height of a high profile career as vice president of Corporate Communications at Canada’s largest corporation, Manulife Financial, Donna Lindell was featured in the Globe and Mail as one of Canada’s Top 40 Under 40. A year a half later, she had switched gears, beginning her own consulting business to deliver personalized support and counsel to new communications professionals and raising a son as part of her quest to find work-life balance.
Lindell became the Canadian Chamber of Commerce’s manager of publications in 1989 while a student in Carleton’s journalism program. In 1995, she left Ottawa for Toronto, spending three years at the PR firm Strategic Objectives, then shifted to Manulife Financial.
In addition to being a past board member of Inner City Angel, an arts education group for children, and the Framework Foundation, Lindell heads the Toronto branch of the Carleton University Alumni Association. She is also a volunteer leader for the Metro Mother’s Network and a member of Toronto’s Emerging Leaders Network.
