About Elizabeth Walker
After equipping myself with an English degree and an MA from Carleton’s Institute for Canadian Studies, I dabbled in training and editing before jumping on the telecommunications bandwagon. Entering as a “writer” in customer documentation, I held marketing, communications, and business transformation roles at increasing levels of responsibility including head of global marketing communications for Alcatel (Newbridge, Alcatel, Alcatel-Lucent) over a span of 22 years. As a leader of diverse teams with global and regional mandates, I worked and lived in Ottawa, the United States, and the U.K.
In 2013 I founded my own company, “FellWalker”, focused on organization development, communications, and leadership coaching. My clients range from large global enterprises to small and medium businesses, as well as the federal public service. I provide pro bono coaching and consulting to community-based organizations and am a mentor for the Aspire Foundation. I am a life-long learner and am currently a part-time student again, enrolled at Royal Roads University (Graduate Certificate in Executive Coaching program).
