What makes you a good mentor?

As I transitioned into the work force following post secondary education, I found the value of a mentor’s knowledge, experience, guidance and encouragement to be immeasurable. For me, it was taking the first steps toward building my career. I look forward to sharing what I have learned along the way with a student and to have the chance to contribute to his/her academic or professional career. It will be both motivating and rewarding to be involved in one’s process, and I am sure it will be a learning experience for me as well.
