About Jody Kingsbury

I am fiercely passionate about sport and deeply moved by its unique ability to unite people as a positive and powerful force that can benefit all Canadians. I am a strong, passionate, and analytical leader who is experienced and skilled in brand building, fan engagement and sport marketing. I have expertise in helping Canadian sport organizations succeed and grow through informed, innovative and impactful marketing and communications strategies. I am an excellent communicator and relationship builder who is creative, charismatic and dedicated. I remain steadfast in my aspirations to celebrate great athletic performances, forge meaningful relationships with stakeholders and audiences, and contribute to a more inclusive world through promotion of sport.

I am a graduate of Carleton University’s Journalism program with combined honours in Political Science where I focussed on media and public relations. I am an excellent communicator who is articulate, charismatic and dedicated. As an avid sports fan, I am very eager to use my deep knowledge and passion for amateur athletics, combined with my experience overseeing communications and media relations activities to share my enthusiasm with others. My efforts to develop, enhance and execute effective internal and external communications, public relations, and brand strategies that seamlessly align with organizational goals and objectives have proven successful in roles with Hockey Canada, Wheelchair Basketball Canada, the Canadian Paralympic Committee, the Ottawa Senators Hockey Club, McMaster University, and the Ottawa Lynx AAA Baseball Team.
