Ines is a proud Raven whose strong and genuine connections with Carleton are a result of the positive experience she enjoyed while studying and playing basketball at Carleton between 2005-2010.
In her current role as a civil litigation lawyer with Mann Lawyers LLP in Ottawa she has dedicated her practice to helping people who have suffered personal injuries as a result of unfortunate circumstances (i.e. car accidents, slip and falls, medical malpractice, etc.). She also practices in the fields of employment law, insurance litigation and estate litigation.
In addition to her legal practice Ines is devoted to her community. She holds the position of President on the Board of Directors of The Rehabilitation Centre Volunteer Association (TRCVA) at the Rehabilitation Centre (TRC) of the Ottawa Hospital, where she works with a team to raise funds to help patients of TRC with physical disabilities afford mobility and assistive devices they need to regain their independence after an unfortunate accident or illness. In the winter months Ines hits the slopes with CADS – Canadian Adaptive Snowsports (formerly Canadian Association for Disabled Skiing) to help people with disabilities enjoy the fun and excitement of adaptive skiing.
Ines stays involved in the Ottawa business community with her role as an Ambassador with the Women’s Business Network and in the legal community in her role as vice-chair of the Ontario Trial Lawyers Association Women’s Caucus. She also truly values her role as a mentor with the Carleton University Alumni Mentorship Program.
While balancing the demands of all of her commitments, Ines never strays far from her other life passions including fitness, travel, the odd extreme sports adventure and training her border collie pup.
