I've learned a lot from people who've made their way in the communications and marketing worlds before me and I believe strongly in sharing knowledge and experience with people who are keen to receive it. I also believe mentors can learn a lot from the people they mentor and look forward to learning together.

About Joe Boughner

Joe Boughner is the Director of Communications for the Association of Canadian Financial Officers. In this role, Joe oversees the planning and execution of a communications and engagement strategy targeted at 4,500 public servants as well as the broader stakeholder community.

Joe is a seasoned communications executive with almost 15 years of experience in the industry. In his previous role as a strategic consultant for a Canadian digital agency, he helped design and implement digital outreach, marketing and engagement strategies for many of Canada’s leading brands, including Rogers Communications, Suncor Energy and the Rotman School of Management. Joe has also taught courses at Algonquin College and Carleton University on marketing, communications and digital technology and is a frequent speaker at conferences and events.
