Privacy of Personal Information
The Department of University Advancement strives to strengthen our school community by connecting students, parents, alumni, alumni parents, faculty, staff and friends with the university and with one another. When you provide personal information to the Department through formal and informal channels, record of that information may be kept on file. Carleton may draw upon this information to advance our goals of excellence in alumni programming and successful fundraising for school priorities and objectives. To further these goals, and to help us celebrate achievements and mourn losses within the Carleton community, the university may also keep publicly available information on file.
Carleton University is committed to protecting the privacy of your personal information. While public information may be published (i.e. Carleton University Magazine), all other personal information is disclosed to employees and volunteers only as required for their work in support of Carleton University.
Personal information attained by Carleton is, under no circumstances, rented or sold. Rather, this information is used strictly within the university and its suppliers to improve our communications, to strengthen our school community and to better engage parents, students, alumni, donors, friends and volunteers.
