Assistant race engineer
Biography
Scott Raymond works for Newman-Haas Racing as the assistant race engineer on the McDonald’s sponsored #1 car driven by Sebastien Bourdais in the Champ Car World Series.
After receiving his Carleton degree in mechanical engineering Raymond earned a Master’s Degree in applied science from Queen’s University. He got his start in motor sports as a race engineer with a Champ Car Atlantic team and then moved to Pratt & Miller where he worked as a race and development engineer on the Pontiac GTO Grand-Am and Cadillac Speed World Challenge programs.
Raymond started with Newman-Hass racing as a data engineer in 2005 and was promoted to assistant race engineer before the beginning of the 2006 race season. In this capacity he works at races all over North America, Australia and Mexico. For the 2007 race season, races will be added in China and Europe.
